For their unswerving passion and commitment to music education of San Antonio residents, we are very proud to award the first MBAW Lifetime Achievement in Music Education Award Piano Lessons to Robin and Peggy Abraham, and are doubly proud to announce hereafter the award will be known as the Robin and Peggy Abraham Award for Lifetime Achievement in Music Education.



When the San Antonio music community speaks of its great teachers and performers, the conversation often turns to the unique talents of a woman who traveled the world to learn her craft, and brought it back to share with students young and old in her native San Antonio.
Students of all ages can take lessons using the Suzuki method, the MusicTime hands-on approach, and the school's praiseTime curriculum, and the group offers plenty of other opportunities including four recitals during the year, student recitals, music theory tests, a composition contest, State Convention Piano Ensembles, and the SAMTA's Achievement Auditions.

My son has been taking lessons from Phil for 2.5 years now, has become very talented, is the 1st chair in school band for drums, and has the desire and drive to practice (which he does all the time) and become better. Their students are eligible to participate in Piano Guild Auditions, Jr. Tuesday Musical Club, and the Youth Orchestra.
After immigration to Texas in 1998, both Yuri and Zoya took an active part in San Antonio's live music and teaching scenes. All of School of Rock San Antonio's music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. We pair weekly private piano lessons with weekly band rehearsals to inspire and engage students throughout the learning process.

I have been playing music since I was 3 years old and have been teaching for the last 5 years. At School of Rock San Antonio, we teach beginner guitar lessons for adults in our Adult Program. All students in the Performance Program have the opportunity to audition for a spot in School of Rock San Antonio's House Band.
That's a lesson she's taught to more than 500 private students during her teaching career, including Robbie Elefante, who chuckled as he slyly played the intro to rapper Dr. Dre's song, Still Dre,” drawing cheers from his friends. Our students become intuitive sightreaders a majority of the time.
